"Batch Data Administration" Dialog

The "Batch Data Administration" dialog enables you to edit properties of projects and their calculation elements across multiple projects.

Open "Batch Data Administration" dialog

  1. Open the "Choose Projects" Dialog.

    1. When project is closed:

      Right-click on the desired project in the Workspace Explorer and select entry " Batch Data Administration" in the context menu.

      The project is automatically opened in the background. In the front, the "Choose Projects" Dialog opens.

    2. When project is already open:

      Right-click on the project node and select entry " Batch Data Administration" in the context menu.

      The "Choose Projects" Dialog opens.

    3. In the ribbon:

      In the ribbon, click on Extras > Batch Data Administration .

      The "Choose Projects" Dialog opens.

  2. Choose your projects and sub-projects on the left side and the properties you wish to edit on the right.

  3. Confirm your selection with OK.

    The "Batch Data Administration" Dialog opens.

General Behavior of the Dialog

The "Batch Data Administration" dialog supports multi-group displays, filters and user-specific column selection. Inputs can be synchronized at multiple points, meaning that values need only be entered once.

Unsaved changes are indicated by an asterisk (*) in the tab after the category name. Here is an example:

These categories contain changes that can be saved with "Apply" or "OK".

Dialog elements without group

  • "Error" display and button:

    • Shows incorrect entries in the table.

    • Click the button to open the error list display.

    • Double-click on a list entry to display the error in the production planning table.

  • "OK" button

    • Click the button to apply the changes to the projects.

    • The dialog closes.

  • "Cancel" button

    If changes exist:

    • Clicking the button opens the "Unsaved changes" dialog.

      • "Yes" button

        Click the button to apply the changes to the projects. The dialogs close.

      • "No" button

        Click the button to discard the changes. The dialogs close.

      • "Cancel" button

        The dialog remains open for further changes.

    If no changes exist:

    • Click the button to close the dialog.

  • "Apply" button

    • Click the button to apply the changes to the projects.

      (like a kind of intermediate saving)

    • The dialog remains open for further changes.
